Cruise Mode: August 2024

Hey there! Long time no see!

I sincerely apologize for the lack of posts lately. Life has been nuts since the end of June. Between being incredibly short staffed at work and dealing with some unexpected illnesses, I honestly haven’t had the time or energy to commit to this page. I’m hoping that that’s going to change very soon, so I ask for your continued patience.

We’ll be going on a cruise next week, which I think will be the reset I’ve been looking and waiting for. We’ll be sailing out of Long Beach aboard the (newish) Carnival Firenze and heading down to the Mexican Riviera. The ship will be making stops in Cabo San Lucas and Ensenada. My wife and I been looking forward to this for some time now! I’m particularly interested to what “Carnival Fun Italian Style” looks like. Also, we may or may not also be bringing Ghost Ship to watch in the stateroom one night.

We’ll be spending the night before the cruise aboard the Queen Mary. This will only be my third time sleeping there (fourth if you count when I slept in the Attractions office after working late one New Years Eve). It’ll also be my first time back since 2019, so I’m pretty excited to see my ship again! I think I may actually be looking forward to that more than the cruise itself.

We also plan to meet up with my family at the Royal Sunday Brunch when we get back. Then it’ll be off to Oxnard for a visit that Teresa and I are very excited about. But more on that later!

Arrivederci! See you all in a couple of weeks. Thanks again for your continued patience with me!
